A pilot came up to me and asked if I would like to paint a plane...I said sure and the next thing I know I was painting this beautiful 1940 J-3 Cub. Thanks Hunter! I feel very fortunately as a Plein Air Artist to get to paint this historic plane up close. I learned that many pilots trained on this model during World War Two.
It was a fun week painting at Plein Air Easton. So thrilled to paint among so many talented artists from across the country, and from Canada and Russia! It was such a pleasure to catch up with friends and make new ones. Thanks Jessica Rogers and Al Bond and many many more volunteers, artists friends and collectors to make this successful event happen again!!! You guys are amazing!

Here's a piece that I did at Plein Air Easton "Take Me Up" that received the Best Painting By a Maryland Artist award. Thanks to Master painter Don Demers. What an honor! Thanks to my host family Michael for coming up with this great title!
